1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Prepare a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Mix butter and 1/2 cup of brown sugar, then add 1 cup of flour. Press into the 9×13 pan and bake for 10 minutes.
3. While baking, beat 2 eggs together and add 1 cup of brown sugar and the vanilla. Then add the 2 tbsp flour, the baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Add coconut and chopped nuts.
4. Spread mixture on top of the partially baked crust. Bake for an additional 20–25 minutes. Serve warm.
