snickerdoodle cookies

Makes 3–4 dozen

Oven at 350ºF

45–55 minutes

2 3/4 cups flour

2 tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup Crisco for baking

1 1/2 cups white sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

3 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp cinnamon

instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350º.

2. Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Set aside.

3. Cream together Crisco and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Add the flour mixture in sections until well combined.

4. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small dish.

5. Scoop dough into even balls (1in or use small-medium scooper). Roll dough ball in the sugar-cinnamon mix, coating the whole surface.

6. Place on lined cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
